Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo State governor, has recovered from the deadly virus COVID-19 disease (coronavirus).
The governor announced last week how he was in isolation after he was tested positive for the most dangerous disease.
Governor Akeredolu announced through a media which he was brief on Monday, July 7, 2020, that he has tested negative twice since last week’s announcement.
It has been reviewed that Akeredolu is among the six state governors across the country who have been infected by the disease that was first detected in China in December 2019.
The Governor of Bauchi’s Bala Mohammed, Oyo’s Governor Seyi Kaduna’s Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Makinde, and Abia’s Governor Okezie Ikpeazu have once been infected with the disease, and have recovered from it.
Ifeanyi Okowa Delta’s Governor, who also said he was infected last week, is yet to recover.
A total of 28,711 cases of the coronavirus has been detected in Nigeria, with 645 officially declared dead.
